How long is the time between races? Does the Race Timer auto-reset or do I have to reset it manually?

The next race will autostart after displaying race data on the LCD screen. Or you can manually swipe a sensor to either pause the sequence or start the race countdown immediately.

After a race has finished, the results are displayed on the LCD screen (and certain models send data to a computer via a datalink if connected). These screens display the lane that won, the race time and winning car difference for about 10 seconds before changing to each car's speeds for another 10 seconds. The Race Timer then enters a countdown of 10 seconds before the next race starts with a sound and light sequence. You can pause the displays and the start sequence at any time before the race starts. This gives as much time as you need to record the information or set up the next race. When ready, you then un-pause the Race Timer and the remaining data is displayed or you can skip all the data displays and begin an immediate race countdown sequence. When connected to a computer, our datalink models send all this data, (with race numbers, better accuracy and more information about the race and car speeds) which can be recorded and used for further analysis. So skipping the data display on the LCD can avoid the delays before starting the next race and data is still recorded on the connected computer.

The Race Timer also offers a speedometer mode when every car's speed is instantly displayed and held until the next car passes the sensors. Our latest models can now display the speeds on the LCD in Km/h or MPH (model dependent).
